Surfa Lugnt är en nätverksorganisation som har funnits sedan 2005 och som arbetar för ökad trygghet och säkerhet på nätet. Bakom Surfa Lugnt står flera svenska myndigheter, företag och ideella organisationer i samverkan. Ordförande för Surfa Lugnts styrelse är Kristina Axén Olin.
Höja vuxnas kunskaper om ungas vardag på nätet
Surfa Lugnt samordnar ett nationellt initiativ för att höja vuxnas kunskaper om barns och ungas vardag på Internet.
Syftet är att bejaka det positiva som finns i ungas liv på nätet som engagemang, kommunikation och kunskapsutbyte, och samtidigt ge vuxna mer kunskap att hantera fallgroparna på internet som till exempel mobbning och integritetsfrågor.
Förutom hemsidan utför Surfa Lugnt informations- och opinionsaktiviteter för att kommunicera med målgruppen föräldrar och andra vuxna i barns närhet, till exempel lärare och pedagoger.
Tips, länkar och möjlighet att ställa frågor på hemsidan
På hemsidan har vi samlat länkar och information till olika expertorganisationer som alla arbetar med frågor som rör trygghet på nätet kopplat till barn och unga. Du hittar också konkreta tips för ökad delaktighet i ungas nätvardag och en blogg som tar upp dagsaktuella frågor inom området. Fråga tonårspanelen
Ibland är det de riktiga experterna man vill fråga, alltså barnen eller de unga själva. Men det är inte alltid man får svar av sina egna tonåringar om livet på nätet. Därför har Surfa Lugnt satt samman en tonårspanel som mer än gärna svarar på dina frågor kring vardagen på nätet och hur du kan tackla olika frågor som du funderar över. Tonårspanelen hittar du här

Surfa Lugnt – for adults and young people to discuss life online
Surfa Lugnt works to enable young people and adults to talk to each other about what happens during their daily internet use, in the same way that you would talk about your day in the physical world. We also aim to give young people a voice in the debate on the internet as a meeting place.
Surfa Lugnt aims to recognise the positive aspects of young people’s internet use, such as commitment, communication and exchange of knowledge, while offering adults the tools to help them deal with the pitfalls of the internet, such as bullying and integrity issues.
Bringing together authorities, companies and non-profit organisations
Many adults today feel that they are not always able to keep up with the way in which the internet functions as a social meeting place. It affects young people’s interest and commitment, but can also mean that they do not turn to adults if they experience problems that are internet-related.
It is for this reason that, in an initiative supported by the Swedish government, Surfa Lugnt is bringing together authorities, companies and non-profit organisations, which will work together to raise awareness among adults about young people’s daily internet use. Surfa Lugnt offers Sweden’s top experts within internet security and young people issues a joint platform for communication and educational campaigns aimed at parents, teachers, educationalists and other key adults. Communication is done via the website, through PR and lobbying activities and campaigns.
Educational campaigns include lectures using Surfa Lugnt’s method material.
One of Surfa Lugnt’s key strengths is the combination of authorities, companies and non-profit organisations working together. It helps bring out a variety of opinions and perspectives in relation to how to improve security and safety on the internet for young people, as well as getting more adults involved in young people’s daily internet use.

Our website – www.surfalugnt.se – offers visitors tips and advice in twelve different languages, information and articles about young people’s Internet habits and links to our partners’ websites. Visitors can also put questions to a panel of experts within internet and youth communication, where the answers are published direct on the website. In Surfa Lugnt’s blog we can follow and comment on the ongoing internet debate from a social perspective.
Ask the panel of teenagers
Sometimes you need to ask the real experts, i.e. the children or young people themselves. But you don’t always get answers from your own teenagers about life on the net. That’s why Surfa Lugnt has put together a panel of teenagers who can answer questions about young people’s internet use and how to tackle the various issues that you as a parent might face. The panel of teenagers also runs a blog and takes part in Surfa Lugnt’s communication and campaigning activities to give young people a voice in the internet debate.
